A little history into the "Lampooning" of aircraft.
The first mass-published cartoon illustrations of aircraft appeared in print media during the mid 1900s soon after the first powered flights. As powered aviation grew, so did the popularity of aircraft cartoons in periodicals depicting various events & milestones.
There are also examples of unrealistic, comical portrayals of exaggerated "rounded" aircraft during the 1920s in print media including Punch, The New Yorker, & various European periodicals. These portrayed the first "closed" cabin passenger aircraft as bloated and rounded in appearance.
These are my current versions of those styles.
